JORDYN ALFORD
Arx Interiors Business Branding
CONCEPT
The branding for Arx Interiors consisted of a logo, business card, two page letterhead, envelope, and postcard mailer. The items should be indicative of the company culture, appropriate for the design typology typical of the firm, and designed to last years while remaining current.
The name - "arx" is a Latin term meaning "stronghold" or "fortress," to allude that the design firm is dependable and consistent. The one red dot in the logo brings in color without being overly indicative of the firm's design style, and the color itself refers to power and strength. The supporting documents in the branding package maintain the same sense of simplicity and consistency throughout. The use of a sans-serif and serif fonts adjacently helps to appeal to clients with both traditional or more modern design aesthetics.
The logo utilizes the following typefaces: Infinita for "arx" and Didot for "interiors". In the branding package, Didot is used as the typical copy text typeface, and Infinita is used as an accent, such as on the front of the postcard mailer.
